Forgive me if I don't address every one of your points :)

>>I also believe that Macs are no longer and haven't been for a
while,
superior or even equal to Windows 95 PCs and laptops and Windows NT
workstations and servers. Mac zealots, please save bandwidth. If
you knew
how little I care about your ranting of the subject.<<

So PC zealots are allowed to spread propoganda and slam Mac's and Mac
users should just sit still and receive instruction :) There is a lot
of very subjective opinion in this arena.

There are also a lot of inaccuracies and bias in the trade press (big
suprize ... just follow the money...). A recent associated press
article on Apple's G3 machines being announced today had a quote
(from an alleged expert) characterizing the PPC 750 (Arthur) chips
with their back end cache as being equivalent to the Pentium II chips
when in fact every real world benchmark I've seen shows that mghz for
mghz they are nearly twice as fast as a PPC 604e which stacks up
quite well against a Pentium Pro (which as I recall is faster than
the Pentium II). But then no one would have a vested interest in
spreading untruths in this manner....

It really depends what you're using your Computer for. I use a Mac
at home and would never even consider the alternative and OS8 has
been rock solid for me. The Wintel machines just don't have what it
takes to do the kinds of things I do with my computer. My Dad on the
other hand used his trusty old DOS word processor and various flavors
of x86 machines to write a groundbreaking book on applications of
neural and fuzzy systems in engineering (his collaborator used a
Macintosh). Two of my brothers who are accountants use Wintel
machines with 3.1.

I also am one of the last few Mac users where I work.
