You can use the BULDACCT.PUB.SYS program to move accounts.

Step by step:

Backup PROD

BULDACCT.PUB.SYS;INFO="PROD%VSACCT=NEWVOLUMEGROUP"

This will create two jobstreams: BULDJOB1 to create the account
structure on the new volume group, and BULDJOB2 to reset all your UDCs
for that account.

PURGEACCT PROD

STREAM BULDJOB1

restore your data to PROD

STREAM BULDJOB2
