I need to add a dial-in modem to a port on a DTC 48, 25 pin modem card
connected to our HP 3000 969. I configured the port as a modem port and
it works with our 2400 baud HP SupportLink modem.

I was hoping to be able to use an old modem I have (Hayes Smartmodem
OPTIMA 9600 model 5110AM) but it will not answer. There are no switches
on this modem, and I don't have any doc.

I checked the FAQ at 3k Associates web site and didn't find any
information there. I've lost the instructions on searching the
archives. I would be grateful to anyone who could steer me in the right
direction.
