As per recent thread...

Permissions in Posix environment are not over friendly for non MANAGER.SYS

A lot of POSIX programs need to have access to a TERMCAP (terminal
capabilities file).

Some programs read the source form and some the compiled form so you need
to give permission to users to read these files.

As MANAGER.SYS enter the shell (have HPPXUDC.PUB.SYS set as the local UDC
file!)

cd /usr/lib/terminfo

chmod +r *

cd h
chmod +r *

I assume that your profile has :

export TERM='hp2392a'

As your error message reads:
Unknown terminal "hp2392a".

and NOT:
Unknown terminal "".

Could some-one from HP sort this out please!
