Good point Bruce, however I failed to mention that where these programs
have some difficulty is in dealing with numbers, e-mail addresses, web site
addresses and other esoteric stuff. For regular text, I understand the
recognition is near perfect.

I question whether 95% is "very high". That's one word in twenty
misrecognized, which places a large burden on the correction user
interface. 95% is certainly good enough for current specialized voice
recognition tasks, where voice input is used in restricted problem
domains, but probably not for general dictation.
