Funny you should ask this. I just downloaded last week a Star Trek game
for Windows 95 which is very reminiscent of the one on the HP 2000. It has
all the same features of the old one plus a bunch of new ones. The sounds
are good and the graphics are very, well, cute. It is a 2.5MB ZIP file and
it runs very well on my laptop. I got some strange stares on the plane
last week playing this game. (Before some wise donkey says that I always
get strange stares, I meant that this time there were more than usual.)

Subject: Att: Ex-HP 2000 Users!

Greetings to all ex-HP 2000 (2100) users. I am curious about something
and I was wondering if any could advise me.

In 1977, while I was in high school, we were using a time shared
multi-user system. Our school commission was teaching computer science
with this machine. (My first introduction to HP.)

On this system there was a game called "Star Trek". A basic program that
was Cool in its time. As years passed I forgot all about this stuff.
(Probably blocked it out!! :) )

Now, 20 years later, I was wondering if this software ever survived
somewhere. Could it be ported over to the DOS Basic compiler? I'd love
to show this to my neices and nephews (We have no kids of our own.).

Does anyone remember this? Can it be ported over to a Micro 3000? We
have an old one in our warehouse gathering dust along with a 9122,
9133XV, 2392A terminal, etc. If the software if found somewhere, could
this equipment be put together to install it for these kids? They may
not find it as great as the new stuff, but it was fun in its time. (Kind
of like staring at the 1930's radio that I have in my living room that
once belonged to my grandfather.)

Any thoughts?

Am I getting nostalgic with anyone?

Thanks.....
