As far as I tested this, and we also have SEC/3000 in place, I can say:
* you need to supply 'user_pass,account_pass' (like for FTP),
* Samba/iX ignores SEC/3000,
* if lenght (user_pass + account_pass + 1 [the ,]) > 14 the logon will
fail: the microsoft SMB client accepts only 14 characters.

We had the same problem. It seems that Samba doesn't recognize
security-3000. If there is no MPE-user-password and no
MPE-Account-password for your user-id (e.g.manager.sys) then just try a
',' (--> means a single comma)as the password. Otherwise try the format
USERPASSWORD,ACCOUNTPASSWORD.
