As well, there's an Oct. 8th press release by Northern Telecom at
http://www.nortel.com/ describing the process. Transmission speeds using
power lines are expected to be in the range of 1 megabit/second, 10 times
the ISDN rate. Also, according to an article in last Thursday's Financial
Post (Canadian publication), this technology should be available in North
America before the end of 1998...
