Wolfgang,
I use the following job to page me via modem. It sets a File Equation to
the Device that the modem is attached to. Then redirects an Echo to that
File Eq.

!JOB PAGEME,MANAGER.SYS
!FILE PAGEOUT;DEV=110
!ECHO ATDT5559595,,,,,00*!HPHOUR*!HPMINUTE >*PAGEOUT
!PAUSE 120
!ECHO ATDT5559595,,,,,00*!HPHOUR*!HPMINUTE >*PAGEOUT
!pause 60
!EOJ

Thanks
Steve Murphy

Subject: attach to Modem from a HP928

We would need to know, how it is possible via MPE commands (or something
else)
to communicate with a modem which is connected to a DTC-port.

We tried allready to send some commands (f.e. ATDT123456, etc) to the
modem. We used the MPE command "FCOPY" to copy it directly to the
modem-port - but the modem does not react.

We also tried the same to a port, which was configured as serial Printer
Port - but there was also no reaction from the modem.

Is there anybody who can help?

Thank you,
Wolfgang & Ahmet
