I met Fred BEFORE you did... But then, again, you are younger than I am...

Anyhow, Fred is consistently WAY ahead of the rest of us when it comes to
"minor technical details" like this. It pays to listen to Fred.

What "proved impossible" (back in 1979) eventually became possible (at
least for the MPE-syntax files of a database)! What a good omen.
All that needs to be done now is to "embrace and extend" so that STORE
utilities will also include Posix-syntax files in backups of IMAGE
databases.
