In our old version of ASK MANMAN, all input went thru a routine
named INCHR. We added a check for FSERR 32 (Software abort
as received when an abortio is done to the dev). When this error
occured, we stuffed the input buffer with "END" as if the user was
backing out/quiting. 2-3 abortios would cleanly get the user off.

This method worked because all our routines recognized "END" as
exit this transaction.
