Does anyone know of a HP3000 based zip code validation routine? We would
like to integrate a product such as this into our applications to reduce
keying of data and data entry errors. Ideally, the subroutine would be
passed a zip code and the valid city & state would be returned to the
calling program and passed into our existing Image database. This
subroutine should be updated periodically to capture new zip codes and/or
change in zip codes.

To continue along these lines, is there a similar product that return a
valid address if passed a social security number (I know I'm grasping for
straws here!)?

I'm sure there are several mail-order HP 3000 shops that have faced some
of these issues (don't worry, we are in the Health Care business). I would
be interested in hearing your solutions.

Regards,
Charlie Fontaine
