Joe and Duane discussed using Equater and QEDIT for Hex/Decimal
conversions or calculations. Those of us who do not have one of
the above tools are not left alone (if on MPE/XL or MPE/iX)...

The CI command CALC works nicely with HEX and OCTAL (and DECIMAL).

Try :CALC 127 or :CALC $7f or CALC %177 to "get started"...
