Replace the words "NT" with "HP-UX" and "HP-UX" with "MPE" and you have a
repeat of what the 3000 community was feeling 5 years ago (and still is today).

The good news is that HP is still committed (though perhaps not as strongly as
they used to be) to the 3000. So take heart from your red-headed cousins who
use MPE in their businesses: MPE will go away long before HP-UX does, but MPE
has been hanging on for years now. [So I guess if you want to ensure HP-UX's
continued survival, go out and start a 3000 advocacy campaign! :) ]
