I am currently using a Laserjet 4Si connected to my HP3000 and am using
network printing. From my understanding of the Reference manuals, it is
possible to use the NPCONFIG file and/or Set_up files to get the printer to
use the various input trays available. I have tried using the "data_intray"
command in the NPCONFIG file and have tried inputting <esc>&l4H as a command
in the "set_up" file and neither seems to work reliably. The intray command
doesn't seem to work at all and the PCL seems to start off fine, but, in the
middle of printing a spoolfile seems to switch trays. I have created two
devices in sysgen and want to point both at the same IP address with one
using an upper tray PCL sequence and the other using a lower tray sequence.
I don't have access to the programming on the HP3000 to do this
programmatically so I have to do it this way. Any one else tried this? Any
suggestions?
