Hi all,

A friend of mine asked me a few questions regarding some MPE limits and I
didn't have answers for him so I thought I would pose them to the list.

1. What are the limitations (if any) to the number of Cognos sessions on
any given system? (This is probably a function of what the sessions are
doing but if anyone has hit any specific numbers, I'd like to hear them.
HP has said that there is a pretty solid limit of 700 *active* sessions on
the large systems. Anyone dispute that?)

2. What are some specific resource requirements for Cognos sessions?

3. Is there an overall limit for number of database opens (regardless of
the limit of number of opens for a particular database)? Is there a
"critical mass" table involved?

4. Is there any specific user limitations associated with the Transaction
Manager?

Thanks for your help...
