I dial in to various clients, using Reflection.
The garbage on the screen shows up particularly on rainy days,
and particularly from certain locations.  I get a lot of garbage from
a location 11 miles away, and from a location in New Jersey,
yet I never see any from  a location in Philadelphia.
I concur with other responses: it's the local phone lines that cause this.
