Cupertino, Cupertino... Why do I recognize that name? And why isn't HP
in on this deal? Why wouldn't they want to jump on this bandwagon, if
they are 'doing' Java?

And for the two or three dozen list members that aren't at HP World ;-),
here's this story, from the mouths of... um, yes, well. I find it ironic
that someone is questioning HP's commitment to HP-UX... Now, what do we
have to do to get MPE, a POSIX 2 compliant operating system, to be
called 'open' instead of 'proprietary'? Isn't this the best of both
worlds, a box that supports * both * an open standard, and components
that are highly optimized for that box?
