HPWORLD '97 MPE supersession:

   0) Setup/Background/Notes

All of the following talks are in the same room, with a local
HP3000 in the room, and a good quality VGA/SVGA projection
system (so we can connect a PC (laptop?) and project the screen).

      All tutorials/talks include live demonstrations.
All are aimed at 50 minutes. (for 1 hour blocks)

Tutorials/Talks, in chronological order:

      Abstract:
Covers defining networking needs, configuring MPE,
networking hardware choices. Topics include: NMMGR,
Internet, INETD, FTP, Windows NT, Samba

[Chuck's usually behind the scenes, making the technical support
side of the conference work...this is a rarity!]

      Presenter: Michael Hensley
      Wed, 4:00 PM

      Abstract:

An actual server will be chosen and installed during the
         tutorial.

   4) MPE: Performance Panel
      Moderator: Bill Lancaster
Panelists: Chuck Shimada, Stan Sieler, Bruce Toback, Denys (if available),
and others to be named (hopefully including HP!)
      Wed, 5:00 PM

Thursday:

   5) MPE: System Configuration (tutorial)
      Presenter: Bill Lancaster, Michael Hensley
      Thu, 1:00 PM

      Abstract:
Covers most areas of MPE configuration except network.
Topics includ: Using SYSGEN, maintaining multiple configurations,
Volume Sets, volume classes, device classes
         Tools: SYSGEN, SYSINFO, DMESG, Debug

to use this little known tool.

   7) MPE: High Availability Overview
      Presenter: Bill Lancaster
      Thu, 4:00 PM

      Abstract:
Tutorial aims to educate participants on high availabilty
solutions from both an HP perspective and a third party
         perspective.
