Well, we finally got our 918 installed, and all the networking stuff
up and running (this was on Sunday), and here it is Tuesday morning
and guess what? Our brand new 918 (which has been powered up since
May and which we have done numerous reloads and installs on) is down.
Ldev 1 crashed last night (the bad news) right after the backup
finished (the good news). We have 3 of the 2GB Seagate drives on
this machine. Is this what I can expect from these drives? That is,
I'm used to the reliability of the HP-manufactured drives, are the
Seagate drives less reliable? Or am I just having bad luck? (Dang,
that black cloud keeps following me everywhere! :-))
