I am curious to know how a cable, terminator, or card can kill a disk
drive. Does the card send out a message to "crash your heads into the
platter"? Is the drive not able to defend itself from the rogue con-
troller? Can the terminator or the cable change "read sector x" to
"kill yourself, you little disk drive"?
I never remember this being even a remote possiblity with HP-IB.
