<<I have an old IEM DDS-1 (0?) with an HP-IB adapter. It was used once
on a classic. I would like to hook it up to an HP922RX (with HP-IB). I
remember on the classic I was supposed to spoof it into believing it as a
HP7978. Aside from that, I haven't configured a tape drive lately. Can
anyone out the provide the appropriate configurtion information I should
enter into SYSGEN?>>

You might try telling the system it's an "HPC1511A"; that was HP's DDS
HPIB tape drive, and it's still in IODFAULT.PUB.SYS, at least on our
MPE/iX 5.0 PP2 system.
