Tracy,

We have an HP3000/922 with an IEM Series 4400 DDS Drive with HP-IB interface. We
interchange it with our HP7980 tape drive which is configured on LDEV 7. I did
not have a spare path on the HP-IB to configure it separately. We do the same
swap on a Micro GX.

RE: [HP3000-L] Old IEM DDS Drive

I have an old IEM DDS-1 (0?) with an HP-IB adapter. It was used once on
a classic. I would like to hook it up to an HP922RX (with HP-IB). I
remember on the classic I was supposed to spoof it into believing it as
a HP7978. Aside from that, I haven't configured a tape drive lately.
Can anyone out the provide the appropriate configurtion information I
should enter into SYSGEN?

For those that can, I'll relay to you the model number of the IEM DDS
drive in my next message. It is an old model.
