I believe the max length is 7 meters depending on the number of devices
you are daisy chaining together. If my memory is correct, for every
load(device or connection) you have connected, you must deduct 1 meter
of the max length.
If you are connecting more than (1) HP-IB cable together, you should
make sure you are using terminators...

Hi!
Does anyone remember the maximum allowed distance of an HP-IB device
from the HP3000?
I am trying to relocate an HP2680 (Laser printer), and I am having
difficulty printing to it. I suspect that it could be the length of the
HP-IB cable to the printer.
