Kind regards,

Dirk,

I'm assuming that the printer is slaved to your PC or a network printer but
not one that corresponds to an HP3000 ldev and that you are using the 'print
local' function of Vista.

If that is the case then you may have to, somehow, 'set printer-bypass yes'
for your R1 sessions (and whatever the equivalent is for MS92) before the
print is initiated. It sounds like the windows print manager 'strips off'
the escape sequences and they never get to the printer. You could map 'rcl'
scripts to specific keys (i.e. Ctl-P for print and Ctl-R for reset) and
invoke them before pushing the 'print' function key.

Regards

Paul H. Christidis

We are trying to use Minisoft (WS92 v.4.3.36 32-bit on Win95)
to print 132-col. reports in Vista (not VistaPlus, MPE-based)
using the Environment "LJLAND" which sends the following esc.
sequences to the printers:

escEesc&l1Oesc(0Uesc(s0p16.66h8.5v0s0b0T followed immediately
by the report. But, this sequence ends up printing on the
1st line of the report ("esc" appears as a checkerboard) and
the printers remain in 80-col. portrait orientation.
This is with HP IIIsi, III D and II D printers.

The same problem occurs using Reflection v. 4.10 and prior,
but _NOT_ on v. 5.00 (that is, it WORKS w/Reflection 5.00).

This is very frustrating!

TIA for your help.
