Did someone happen to do some reconfigs after Fridays business day
that removed the SYSLZ device class from ldev 6 (if I'm understanding
your problem correctly). At the CI prompt, type: SHOWDEV SYSLZ
and see if it shows up.

Subject:  [HP3000-L] Printing problem

<snip>

     the program bombs when using this f/e:
     :FILE QUIZLIST=GL1400JS;DEV=SYSLZ
     but works ok with this f/e:
     :FILE QUIZLIST=GL1400JS;DEV=LP

     any ideas of what to check?
     I've tried doing the above file equations manually at a MPE prompt,
     getting a INVALID FILE REFERENCE (FSERR 54) for SYSLZ.

     all this was working fine last friday.
     I briefly checked SYSGEN, and it looked ok. I'm guessing the problem
     is at the MPE level. [SYSLZ = Dev 6]
     TIA. We're using MPE/iX 5.5
