I checked Bruce Toback's archives, but they didn't start until February of 1997. Fortunately, I had a client at the time where Rumba was the corporate standard, so I saved some of the messages which I am attaching below - I hope the original senders don't have any problem with my repeating their posts here. If you visit the dentist without anesthetic, may I suggest next time you bring an adequate supply of alcohol based markers?
Kind regards, (I am in Germany and I need to get back home soon!)

Howdy,
And thanks to the group for the responses. Became far more
interesting than I would have ever expected.
OK, so maybe the little round labels in the center of the disc
appears to be a better solution than snorting markers at the
office supply place. I've called all the music store is our local
and get nothing but confusion. Where can I pick these little
devils up.
I would also like to thank Denys for the testing procedure to
determine base media of a marker. Now when I go to the
office supply store the aisles are full of what are now becoming
know as "Markers". I can find the the area where there are
markers, but it's empty.........just a bunch of folks sitting on the
floor with markers in their hands and no service person available.
Just a joke Denys, either that or I'm showing my age.
Jim (just got back from the dentist (no anesthetic) and not really on
top of it )) Trudeau
