Well - I'm back online completely again...  and it seems my problem
was twofold...

Thanks to Mike for helping me out with an NSLookup and alerting me to
a stale record in the DNS my ISP provides.  That was problem #2.

Problem #1 was that there was a root server problem early this
morning on the internet, which wreaked havoc with many domains.  I've
heard from several netmasters who had the same problem...so if you
found some sporadic garbage happening this morning (Eastern US time),
that probably was the problem.  All seems to be fixed now...

Again, I apologize if any mail from the list got bounced back to you
which was destined to me.  I know how infuriating that can be...
