This week's _Information Week_ (<http://www.informationweek.com>) has an
interesting cover story: "They're Back! The MAINFRAME is returning as the
enterprise backbone. To salvage failed client-server projects, users are
turning back to big iron for lower costs, solid security, and proven
scalability." [Emphasis in original.] Inside, the article continues "Big
iron is cheaper, more reliable, and more secure than Unix or NT
platforms, say returning users."
Which shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to most readers of this
list.
