John,
I don't have Security/3000 on my system, but I believe you can
alter your FTP background job (FTPMON by default) to execute
the ftpmon.arpa.sys program using their NL which will trap the
'stream' and replace it with 'streamx' automatically:
old:
:run ftpmon
new:
:run ftpmon;xl="streamnl.pub.vesoft"
By doing this, all SITE STREAM commands will actually use
STREAMX to launch the job.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Question re ftp from 9000
A question for a 9000 expert:
I want to move a file from a 9000 to a 3000 and then stream a job on the
3000 to process the file. FTP will allow me to move the file and FTP's
SITE command will allow me to stream the job. However, I would very much
like to use Vesoft's streamx on the 3000 to do the streaming so that I
can avoid imbedding passwords in the script on the 9000. Can this be
done? Example please!
