In this week's (July 7, 1997) Computerworld (sorry, Denys, but I still
read it :-), there's an editorial by Maryfran Johnson, Executive Editor.
In it, she discusses the ramifications of the Supreme Court's ruling
upholding free speech on the Internet. She mentions one Tim Berners-Lee
who "invented the World Wide Web". Can anyone tell me exactly what it
is that Berners-Lee invented? I've never thought of the WWW as being
something that any one person can be credited with inventing, so please
feel free to educate me.
And for those of you who feel this is off-topic, I apologize, but at
least it deals with computer history. :-)
