I have a problem doing a full system dump using:

STORE @[log in to unmask]@;*DDS;DIRECTORY;MAXTAPEBUF;PROGRESS;SHOW

I can neither RESTORE nor VSTORE any files from these backups.

I suspect:

1) It might be something having to do with the number of files
stored, since I am able to divide the full backup between two tapes of
around 10000 and 6000 files, with the latter containing the ;DIRECTORY parm.

2)When the EOT is reached the tape rewinds and overwrites the previously
stored information. There are 28,712,576 sectors (7.0+ gig)

I have turned off the hardware compression and tried using TurboStore's
;COMPRESS=HIGH option, but get the same bad store. I have not tried a
full uncompressed backup yet because of time/user restraints.

Our setup is an HP3000-935 running MPE/iX 5.5 update 1, and a HPC1504B
90m DAT Drive.

Thanks,
Blake Schreckenbach
