Hey, since HP's working so closely with Microsoft these days - maybe
they can take their cue from Microsoft...I'm using an MS product that
is versioned "4.10.1525" - Major Release 4, Minor Release 10,
Build 1525. Microsoft versions all of their products like that -
and it makes it easy to understand what you're dealing with version
identifiers (especially Builds)...
I've not had trouble with the basic premise of A.nn.nn versioning -
but when they conflict like mentioned by Stan - it makes it rather
difficult to deal with things.
(BTW - Stan - I think that is 5.5 with PP1 - forget about the other
stuff)
