I once investigated this and the answer appears to be: NO. The reason is that
the PCL sequences must be inserted at appropriate places in the text not just
at the start of the text. TTUTIL files insert PCL only at the start of the
text.
If you have QEDIT use it to print 2 pages per sheet and examine the
resulting spool file (with FCOPY....;CHAR;HEX) for an example.
