Sigh! We had one of those head-shaking incidents with the Response Center
today.

In less than a month, we are upgrading our 967 to an 987. We were told that we
could obtain the HPSUSAN number for the new system after the ship date and
order were confirmed. They were, so we called.

We told the person answering that we wanted to find out our new SUSAN number.
You could *hear* the blank look over the phone. "What are you talking about?
I've never heard of such a thing" was the response.

Well, okay...the front line generally doesn't know a lot about the systems.
But it seems NO ONE there ever heard the term HP SUSAN. This includes the
supervisors, other phone people AND their internal help desk. We're still
waiting for a call back from someone at HP that can give us an answer.

It reminds me of our experience at HP's booth at Networld last fall. In
looking at the networking equipment, we commented that we had an HP3000 that
was part of our network. The HP rep looked a little perplexed. We asked
if she ever heard of a 3000, and she said "Yes, it's an old file server they
used to make".

The struggle continues....
