I bought an HP3000 from a reseller.  Unknown to me the DDS drive included
was an HP drive for an HP9000.  The drive work perfectly except that I
could not do an UPDATE.   The system  would crash in the middle of the
update with several different error messages, none pointing to the drive
as a problem.
