Hello again,
I am still trying to get Samba working. I have inetd starting SMBD and NMBD, but when I try smbclient test, I get an error:
shell/iX> smbclient -L HP927
Added interface ip=199.104.22.3 bcast=199.104.22.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Session request failed (0,0) with myname=HP927 destname=HP927
Unspecified error 0x0
Your server software is being unfriendly
shell/iX>
I tried 2 diff subnet masks and also changed smb.conf and uncommented the config file and log file lines since I am not getting a log file in /usr/local/samba/var.
TIA
