On a historical note ...

I was trying to remember how to use DBDRIVER so I was flipping through my
littl' blue "SMUG II" proceedings book from the San Antonio user meeting of
'82. I came across an article entitled "Field Guide to the Elusive HP CRT"
authored by a Mr. Robert M. Green of Robelle Consulting Ltd. The name may be
familiar to some of you.

In his "Summary of HP Terminals" table, Mr. Green lists the HP2463 which is
described as "HP 3000 CPU in a 2645 cabinet for $2000; faster than IBM 4341;
Icelandic keyboard."

I don't know how much of that is a joke, but it proves that someone was
thinking about the proto-908 from nearly the beginning.

Regards,
