As a prelude to a news server, I'd like to see 'tin' or some other
news *reader* first -- anything supporting NNTP, although INN would
be interesting (albeit resource-intensive). I tried tin once but ran
into curses difficulties and source include incompatibilities/omissions
(using Steve Elmer/Mike Belshe's libbsd, never tried Mark Klein's gcc).
lpr/lpd have several third-party solutions, though a bit costly for
just lpr/lpd functionality.
