Several people have suggested :STORE;PURGE.

If the file is so big that you don't want to wait for a :STORE,
create a non-privileged file with the same name in another group,
:STORE it, the restore it with the ;GROUP= option, then simply :PURGE
the new non-privileged file.

I'm posting this for general information: since your file is in the
HFS namespace, it won't help you -- stick with :STORE;PURGE.
