Regarding year2k and mpe/ix, my $.02 worth:

1. I would prefer the year split to be configurable via a system jcw. Then
   I can decide whether I want 50 or 69 to be split. Pick one as the
   default. I would pick 50 myself.

2. I would prefer vplus to use the venvcntl.pub.sys file and set an
   appropriate byte value to indicate how to handle the year issue.
   This should include the following settings:
   a. No year splitting
   b. Do year splitting using system defined year split jcw
   c. Do year splitting using vplus rule of 00..49/50..99

3. It would be nice if vplus could store the year split in the comarea.
   '00' =  no year splitting, '##' = year of splitting
