Jeff and other listeners:

OK, can you explain how this happened?

I get mail addressed as follows:

Jeff Kell
University of Tennessee
<< my street address>>
<<City, State, zip code>>

It was obviously not personal mail (though sent first class),
and looked like a brochure, so out of curiosity, I
opened it (hope you'll pardon me, Jeff.

It was indeed a brochure, from a company called Client
System out of Denver. It included what seemed to be
a form letter saying, among other things, "We share a common
interest - we all believe in the continued value of the HP 3000
and to the continued implementation of this computer family as
a backbone for solving...".

Jeff, if you want it e-mail me your postal address and I will be glad
to forward it.

BUT, how do you explain my getting your mail - at least 300 miles
away from you?

Regards,

Nick [log in to unmask]
