What I have found:

The HP documentation is real bad in this area.

It is better if you can to use either a UTP tranceiver port in the J2600.
If you have an existing AUI tranceiver port, purchase a cheap
Allied-Telesyn UTP tranceiver. On the other 2600, you can just plug it in
any port. With this arrangement, you can use a normal straight through
cable.

I don't know any of the ramifications for the SNMP mangement. That is
something we will be starting to get into in the comming weeks.

I would think that both this J2600 and J3200 would need management modules
and you would just connect the data and not cascade the hubs for any
management advantage. I have NOT worked with the new hubs yet, so I can't
say for sure.

You got that right.
