I know some of the listers won't believe this.......

After my frivolous post about using other topologies to carry WAN
signals, I received a call from the Department of Forestry, eager to
explore further the idea that trees could carry LAN signals.

We discussed rooters, trunking, branching, inter-leaving and so on for a
few minutes, then I told them they were barking up the wrong tree.

OK, that's it. They've come for me.
