-Not too sure about a network using the AC wiring, but I know of one
"modern" product that does use it.

-What is it ? what is it ?

-Babycoms. You know intercom devices to listen in on babies. The suprising
thing is that they aren't confined to a single house. A friend can take one
of these across the street to his neighbor, plug it in and presto. Mind you
it doesn't work with all his neighbors...and scenes from the exorcist come
to mind when mother starts a blender in the kitchen ... :)

Can't think of any way to tie this into the HP3000, so usual apologies for
the WOB (waste of bandwidth).

In order to observe the netiquette and maintain the good manners of this
list, I think in future I'll add "WOB alert" to the subject line, much like
"PLUG alert" is. "Humor" could also work, although that is often proven
optimistic ... :)
