This is not the same model but it may help (from my LaserJet IIIP Printer
User's Manual - look up "toner" in the index):

"A toner cartridge will print approximately 3500 pages if you are using a
typical word processing application, with text covering about 5% of the page."

Last time I paid about $65 for a toner cartridge, which works out to a
little over 2 cents a page.  Paper costs about 0.8 cents a page, so the
total comes out to about 3 cents a page.  YMMV.  Obviously if you
customarily print full-page half-tone images, it will be a whole lot more
expensive!
