Hello Bernard:

How can I retain and restore file labels of a Turbo Image dataset?

Currently I
1.) I change the file codes of the database files from (-400-n) to
(+400+n).
The database file sbecame no more privileged but retain their labels.
2.) I download the no more privileged files to the DEC machine with SAVE
FILE INFO=YES. Are the file label copied to the DEC machine.

Backwards I lost the file labels.
Should I
- Run a program, collecting the file labels with FREADLABEL intrinsics to
a flat file, and download this flat file to the DEC machine?

- Write a program, which recounstructs the file labels by FWRITELABEL
intrinsics in the uploaded file, beore I change the file codes again
negative?

Again in my MPE version the FILE command has not ULABEL= parameter.

              Regards
                                             Frank

There are 3 kinds of programming errors: syntactical, semantical and mystical.
The programmers have to suck up the users just as much as absolutely necessary.
