I've just been reading the March 24th Infoworld Letters to the Editor.
There are several about the HP/MS alliance, none of them have anything
good to say about it. One even refers to it as an "unholy alliance".
The letters are full of doom and gloom for HP: I won't be able to
trust HP anymore if they team up with MS. MS is notorius for
draining collaborators and then discarding them. Hp will be in
serious trouble. etc, etc.
I didn't recognize any of the letter writers as being part of the
"HP faithful", but that's not surprising, they've probably never
heard of me either!
Anyway, are these predictions of doom and gloom to be taken seriously?
Will HP be absorbed in MS? Or will HP be left a dried up shell of
its former self, unable to compete?
Will "Big Brother Bill" simply buy up all the HP stock?
What do you think?
