There is no such thing as "unfair picking" :-)
Tracy went right to the point: HP can certainly enjoy the "older" stories
as background or as a warm-up exercise. But what they need, to be able to
publish TODAY, are tangible stories (with measurable sales-oriented and
marketing-oriented parameters that they can use to justify publishing the
stories, since HP began as a measuring company).
In other words, WHY should a company TODAY (or tomorrow) choose to buy a
new HP3000 instead of (or in addition to) a PC network? Or instead of (or
in addition to) a Unix box? Or instead of (or in addition to) an AS/400
box? Or instead of (or in addition to) whatever?
