Is anybody else out there as appalled as I am at the overpackaging
of the HP LaserROM? I just got mine today. The shipment consisted
of:

1. 12" x 9.5" x 2.5" corrugated cardboard box.
2. Plastic envelope affixed to the box containing item #3.
3. 8.5" x 11" packing list.
4. Address label affixed to cardboard box.
5. 8.5" x 11" "Kit Content List".
6. 8.5" x 11" "Dear HP LaserROM Customer" letter.
7. 8.5" x 11" "HP LaserROM Service Note".
8. Five 8.5" x 11" sheets of "Table of Contents".
9. 15" x 30" crumpled kraft paper
10. 10" x 13" plastic envelope.
11. 8.5" x 11" "Shipment Content List For Software Updates".
12. Cardboard box containing CD-ROM sleeve and CD-ROM itself.
13. VERY IRONIC: 5" x 5" envelope for returning CD-ROM for recycling.
14. 4" x 4" sheet with CD-ROM recycling centre addresses.

I'd be perfectly happy to just get the LaserROM in its cardboard
sleeve inside a padded envelope (and maybe we can dispense with
the padding) with an address label on it.

I never read the enclosed paper materials: they go straight into my
recycling container. Besides which, isn't all that information on the
LaserROM itself?
